8051 General Purpose Resisters
- 00H – 1FH: 32 bytes
- 32 General Purpose Registers.
- Grouped in to 4 register banks.
- Each bank has 8 registers R0–R7.
- Program can select any of the 4 register banks for it use through Program Status Word (PSW) register.
- Register bank 0 is used by default.
- These registers are generally used to assist in manipulating values and moving data from one memory location to another.
